Ameritas believes in creating insurance plans that promote preventive care. This way, patients can get affordable cleanings, checkups, and other treatments to prevent issues from developing. Every plan works a little bit differently, but the structure of your benefits will likely look something like this.

  • 100% coverage on preventive services, like cleanings, checkups, and routine X-rays.
  • 80% coverage on minor restorative procedures, like dental fillings.
  • 50% coverage on major restorative services, like dentures.

When you enroll in Ameritas, you gain access to these benefits. These plans require a monthly premium to access them as well as an annual deductible to meet before additional coverage can be provided. There is also an annual maximum, so you can significantly reduce your out-of-pocket expenses until you have reached the limit.

Since we are in-network with Ameritas, we have pre-negotiated fees to ensure that you are paying the lowest possible cost to get the services that you need.

The Benefits of Seeing an In-Network Dentist

We are in-network with Ameritas. This means that your dentist has a contract with the insurer to establish a fair average fee for covered dental services that they agree to charge. Ameritas then covers a percentage of the cost for the patient. Alternatively, out-of-network dentists can charge higher dees for their dental services, but you need to pay the difference in price in addition to your out-of-pocket percentage of the insurance’s pricing. By visiting an in-network dentist, you know that you will be responsible for the lowest possible cost.
